Really nice job for a first attempt. Keep it up... can't imagine what the next pieces will be like as you continue.

Im always a big fan of good vector work. This is excellent expecially with the color, which aint always easy in illustrator. My only crits would be that her eyelashes are very dark and thick and somewhat distracting. Also, it would be cool to apply your talents to some work whom's subject isnt so... popular culture. Its always more interesting to look at an artwork/ image that I am not familiar with. It leaves much more to explore. Give it a shot, well done.

wow... that wasn't even bad if its your 100th time!

next thing you could consider using other lines than black for outlining.
and of course, if you wanna stick to that comi look, try to chance line thickness to give your piece more "swing".

keep it up!

Very nice. I would probably put a bit more reflection in her eyes. But that's just me, I tend to over due eyes at times. Oh yea, and my daughter loves it too!

thank you so much for your comments folks!
this is the type of criticism that i like and need...
i went ahead and gave the eyebrows a lighter colour so they wouldnt be so darkly defined and fixed another problem i had in the hair line...however, as far as the eyelashes are concerned, it will be too tedious to tweak and at this time it stays that way...but i will defiitely keep an eye on those things when creating my next piece.

thanx again and keep the C&C coming.
